Firstly, let me welcome you to my reviews page, where I will periodically upload reviews of the books I’ve been reading recently or just books I enjoy in general.

This month’s feature is She by HC Warner.

I gave She 4/5 stars right off the bat. This book is about domestic abuse, deceit and manipulation. It’s a heavy read and you find yourself rooting for Ben, and hoping beyond hope that he’ll realise how toxic Bella really is.

This book takes you on a wild, emotional ride whilst keeping you gripped in a way that many crime thrillers tend to miss in this day and age, not like the classics.

There are twists and turns which you might see coming, but somehow still seem to come as a shock when you realise how HC Warner weaves them into the story.

Told from two points of view, it’s interesting to get into Bella’s mindset and to find out just how truly twisted she really is and why she is that way. You find yourself hating her, and wishing you could shout through the book at the other characters, willing them to see how evil she really is.

Overall, this book is fantastic. HC Warner’s writing is engaging and enthralling, keeps you gripped and makes you feel as if you don’t want to stop reading until it’s finished. I’ll definitely be checking out more of HC Warner’s work.
